You shall not steal.
Exodus 20:15; Deuteronomy 5:19 This commandment is broader then we might think - see this in today's message. We will also see how this relates in our current culture of entitlement. Let me know what you think! Pastor Laurie This Sunday we look at the sixth of the 10 Commandments - "You Shall Not Murder".
This is an important commandment in light of our society today. Suicide, euthanasia, abortion - how do these fit into this commandment? Do they fit into this commandment? We will look at these issues in the context of what the Bible has to say. Join us in person, or watch on YouTube or facebook. Beginning this Sunday - June 27.21 - and for the next several Sundays we will be looking at the 10 Commandments in light of today.
This series look at the timeless laws of God that have not changed. Regardless of our earthly situation we have a Father that always loves us. Remember that!
A June 3.21 posting on the CBC News Website has the heading "Celebrating Pride Month 2021." Subtitle: "Ways to celebrate diversity and LGBQT people."
For another perspective I would encourage you to look at the following article on the Denison Forum posted June 4th. Read the instructions - God's Word.
In the media these days you see a lot about conflict. It appears that society's solutions to resolving conflict haven't been very effective. Solutions such as identity group politics - Black Lives Matter, LGBQT, etc. to date have not had much impact on reducing conflict. In fact they seem, in many cases, to have produced the opposite effect. In this week's on-line message we turn away from worldly solutions to look at conflict resolution from God's perspective. This Sunday we continue on in a sixth message from the book of Matthew - A MATTER OF THE HEART (Matthew 15:10-20).
If you are interested in joining us on-line by ZOOM contact Pastor Laurie at [email protected] for the link for our Sunday 10:30 AM service. Yet for the believer every day is a day to honor our Mothers and Fathers.
Come join us this Sunday as we celebrate the occasion with a message from Matthew 15:1-9. A COMMANDMENT WITH A PROMISE: Honor your Mother& Father. Join with us in-person this Sunday at 10:30 AM as we welcome two new members into the church through baptism!
We will be celebrating Communion immediately following baptism. In both the on-line and in-person message we will reflect on the importance of these two ordinances in the life of the Church and believer. |
